“When we purchased our house, in 2006, the garden level was arranged as two bedsits, with a shared laundry room in the rear return. We had planned to convert one of the bedsits into a new kitchen, and the laundry room to a utility room. Before we commenced the works a friend recommended to us that we seek a consultation with Eva.
We strongly recommend that anyone considering a house extension or refurbishment, should seek a consultation with Eva. Eva’s advice to us resulted in a much more suitable house for our family, and probably a much more valuable house as it has created features we did not anticipate.”
Eva came to our house, “interviewed” us on our exact requirements, particularly in relation to the functions which we wanted our new layout to serve. Eva’s advice transformed our plans, all very much for the better. Eva’s focus was quite simple – use dark areas for storage and maximise the light filled areas. So, the room we intended to use as a utility room is now a delightful, west facing family room. It has become our favourite room in the house and our kids love it. The room has sliding doors opening onto a patio – its perfect.
Our hall is wide but typically dark, so Eva advised full height presses to run the length of the hall to accommodate coats and jackets, school bags, washing machine and tumble dryer, larder and lots of storage. So, the garden level, which is the busiest area in our house, thanks to Eva’s foresight and creativity, is free of all clutter, houses all storage and laundry functions in stylish, roomy presses and most importantly includes the bright, cheery family room which acts as a magnet for us all.
